New Beginings

Course 1

It is a rather short par 4 with a distance of 356 meters, the first landing area being flanked by two bunkers, so that the second shot be a more difficult one given the fact that on the right side of the green there is a bunker and behind the green there is a rough area descending towards a group of trees.

Shortie

Course 2

It is the first par 3 on the course with a gorgeous view over the red slope around the golf course, the green has a big surface and it is flanked on the right side by a very welcoming bunker. The positioning of the flag on the right side of the green makes a birdie result very difficult to obtain.

  • blue Gents: 117
  • yellow Women / Senior: 129
  • red Children: 107

Club House

Course 3

It is a left dogleg par 4 with a distance of approximately 405 m, the first shot being flanked by a big bunker on the right side, and the next shot being very difficult given the remaining distance to the green, as well as the shape of the course. The green is flanked by two bunkers on the right side and in the back; the bunker in the back of the green gives the impression of a beach leading to the water.

  • blue Gents: 392
  • yellow Women / Senior: 352
  • red Children: 346

Hidden Gem

Course 4

It is the first par 5 on the golf course with a total length of 470 meters, first shot being a difficult one given the fact that the lake limits the right side of the fairway, at a second shot the player has two options of attacking the green, either shooting over the hill in front of the green, or taking a safe shot on the designated course. The green is hidden behind the hill, and as a surprise for those choosing to take a shot over the hill, they will find a bunker flanking the front side of the green.

  • blue Gents: 469
  • yellow Women / Senior: 443
  • red Children: 414

The Gap

Course 5

The course is a par 4 of medium size, the surprise element is the green placed on a peninsula surrounded by water. Another strong point of this course is the tee positioned up-high offering to the players two game options: either risking over the lake, or playing safe on the direction of the game.

  • white Pro: 384
  • blue Gents: 319
  • yellow Women / Senior: 265
  • red Children: 265

Hard right

Course 6

It is a long par 5, the first landing area being a narrow one, right dogleg with bunkers on the right side, followed by a nicer shot with a more generous landing area, so that the player can be welcomed by a generous green with a bunker behind it.

  • white Pro: 469
  • blue Gents: 459
  • yellow Women / Senior: 420
  • red Children: 413

River Side

Course 7

At the first shot from the tee, the accuracy and the distance are essential because the fairway is slightly curved to the right and the first landing area is narrow. Besides this on the right side is it flanked by the river Mureș on the entire length. The approach shot is a difficult one because the landing area in front of the green is narrow and the green is situated up-high and on the right side it is flanked by the river Mureș which makes the approach shot a decisive one, because the ball can exit in the rough area very easily or it can get on in the river Mureș.

  • white Pro: 406
  • blue Gents: 396
  • yellow Women / Senior: 324
  • red Children: 324

The quarry

Course 8

It is a par 3 easy, which would need a precise shot to obtain a good result; the green is flanked on the right side by a bunker. This area was a former gravel pit serving the town of Alba Iulia and its surrounding areas.

  • white Pro: 175
  • blue Gents: 165
  • yellow Women / Senior: 147
  • red Children: 140

The Island

Course 9

It is a difficult par 4 given the fact that the green is a double green and it is situated on an island, which makes the shot a difficult one. The green is defended on the right side by a bunker and on the left side by the water, which requests for an extremely precise shot to obtain a good result. From the first landing area there are approximately 120 meters to the center of the green, but the ball needs to go over the water.

  • yellow Women / Senior: 338

The Edge

Course 10

It is a par 3 short, with the green situated close to the lake and behind it there is a small size bunker. If the position of the hole shall be chosen from the right side of the green, the shot must be extremely precise, involving a shot over the surface of the lake.
  • white Pro: 151
  • blue Gents: 134
  • yellow Women / Senior: 105
  • red Children: 105

The waterfall

Course 11

It is a par 4 with a considerable distance, but with a generous fairway, which makes the first shot a very easy one, but the approach shot is a very difficult one because one needs precision to place the shot on the green area. There is a bunker on the right side of the green. The green area is a generous one and quite flat making the game on the green easy. Behind the green there is a waterfall and the stream flows by the green.
  • white Pro: 418
  • blue Gents: 396
  • yellow Women / Senior: 349
  • red Children: 349

The narrow escape

Course 12

It is a par 4 with a narrow fairway making the course difficult. In the first landing area there is a bunker, and then other two bunkers in front and on the right side of the green. If the player does not pay attention the ball can land in the river Mureș behind the green.
  • white Pro: 381
  • blue Gents: 372
  • yellow Women / Senior: 351
  • red Children: 351

Good Luck

Course 13

It is a difficult par 4 given that there are bunkers both in the first landing area and in the approach area. In the first landing area there are 3 bunkers and then another bunker on the left side of the approach area. The green is generous, with a flat surface, and behind it there is a valley with trees.
  • white Pro: 414
  • blue Gents: 392
  • yellow Women / Senior: 352
  • red Children: 352

Panorama

Course 14

It is a par 3, short, with a special panorama. An extremely precise shot is requested to obtain a good result because the green is narrow and in front of it there is a huge and welcoming bunker. The area behind the green is descending towards a valley and if the ball rolls over from the game surface the approach shot would be extremely difficult.
  • white Pro: 132
  • blue Gents: 122
  • yellow Women / Senior: 110
  • red Children: 110

The Dunes

Course 15

It is a long and difficult par 5 because the fairway has a very interesting and waved shape. The first landing area is a very generous one with a bunker on the right side. The second landing area is very narrow and on the left side there are 3 bunkers demanding a very precise shot in order to have an easy third shot at the green. On the right side of the green there is the river Mureș.
  • white Pro: 476
  • blue Gents: 466
  • yellow Women / Senior: 403
  • red Children: 403

The valley

Course 16

It is a gorgeous par 4, offering two attack options. On the left side of the course there are two bunkers and in the middle of the fairway there is a small hill blocking the view to the green. The green has a big surface and it consists of two steps. The first choice for the attack over the green is a safe one on the game course, the second one is on the right side of the fairway over the small hill. If the flag is placed on the right side of the green the flag would not be visible making the attack opening extremely difficult.
  • white Pro: 358
  • blue Gents: 327
  • yellow Women / Senior: 325
  • red Children: 318

The sandy Bay

Course 17

It is a par 4, short, offering the possibility of obtaining a good result in case of a direct shot on the surface of the green. In the center of the fairway there is a bunker so that the play can attack the green from two positions, either on the left side of the river Mureș, or on the right side of the fairway. In case of a strong shot the players will be able to attack the green with the first ball, but in order to make this shot the player must pass over a bunker in front of the green, on the left side of the green there is the river Mureș, and on the right side and behind the green there is a slope, making the placing of the ball on the surface of the green very difficult.
  • white Pro: 262
  • blue Gents: 251
  • yellow Women / Senior: 231
  • red Children: 223

The long way home

Course 18

The course no. 18 is the first course of par 6 in Romania and the longest to cover in Europe, with a total length of 735m. To obtain a decent result, the players need at least 4 good shots to reach the green. The green has a big surface and it is situated on the central island, which is a double green. In front of the green there is a deep bunker, making the attack on the third shot difficult. The first shot is difficult because the landing area is quite narrow and needs special precision. The second shot is easier because the fairway area is open facilitating the game. The third shot is difficult because in the landing area there is a beach bunker (creating the illusion of a beach coming from the water). The fourth shot is a spectacular one over the lake. All these shots culminate on the green on the island, where the putt shot can be seen from the terrace of the club’s restaurant.
